Discover the Recipes for Long Life

Have you ever thought about what you eat and how it affects your longevity? What you eat can certainly impact how long you live and of course your health level for that life. Blue Zones author Dan Buettner has spent years researching the world’s longest-lived cultures and how what they eat impacts their life spans.

What’s I think is super cool? He’s provided a ton of these inspired recipes for free on his website!

Blue Zones Guidelines for Longevity

In the over 200 recipes that are offered for free, all of them are quick to assemble (30 minutes or less!) and follow the Blue Zones Guidelines for Longevity.

What are these guidelines? Basically, Buettner and his team have distilled more than 150 dietary surveys of the world’s longest-lived people to discover the secret of a longevity diet.

Through all of that research, they came up with 11 simple guidelines that reflect how they ate for most of their lives.

Those guidelines include:

  • 95-100% plant-based
  • Retreat from meat
  • Go easy on fish
  • Reduce dairy
  • Eliminate eggs
  • Daily dose of beans
  • Slash sugar
  • Snack on nuts
  • Sour on bread
  • Go wholly whole (food)
  • Drink mostly water
